Principal’s Letter

Dear Friends,
I wish you could all have attended the Mass and Dia de los Muertos celebrations on Monday. During both occasions, young students led us in prayer. At Mass, first grade students read the introduction and the Prayers of Intercession and sang the Penitential Rite. You could almost feel that direct line to God! They were so reverent and their eighth grade buddies encouraged them beautifully. Later that day, the fourth and fifth graders prayed for and shared memories of their deceased family members. Their stories were heart-warming and inspirational and they were so proud as they read to their classes.

Many of our students have relatives who serve or have served in the Armed Forces and we heard some of their amazing stories on Monday. Next week, in the classes we will talk more about what it means to be a Veteran and we will pray in thanksgiving for their service and sacrifice to our country. School will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, Veterans Day.

Remember that the St. Vincent de Paul truck will be on the car-park this weekend and manned around Mass times to receive your donations. Thank you in advance for your prayers for our Veterans and your gently used clothing and household items for those in need!

Beannacht,

Bernadette O’Leary
