From the Principal — Celebrate Community!

Thank you, St.John Community! Tomorrow, we will celebrate the success of the Jog-a-thon! The fun will begin with an assembly in Egan Hall at 8:30 at which we will have the raffle for the trampoline! There are 600 plus entries in that raffle! That means that means that many of you have your names in there multiple times, indicating that you donated way over the $100! St. John School is very blessed! After the assembly, Miss Purchio’s class will compete with Señor Pablo and me in the Silly String Showdown – the wildest contest in the west! Mrs. Brumback’s 6th grade and Mrs. Todd’s 1st grade will enjoy popcorn parties for running the most laps! All students will have free dress.

On Saturday, we celebrate the past – an alumna, Laura Bulkley – and the future of St. John School as we support the endowment while enjoying local brew and brats at Oktoberfest! We are moving the ‘beer garden’ indoors due to the impending wind and rain, but there is no better option to ride out bad weather than to be at St. John with good friends supporting future generations of students.

Many of you have registered for your conferences. If you have not, please use the SignUp Genius link.  When you open it, scroll across the tabs on top of the page and find your class. Click go.  Makes sure the correct class shows in the purple box.  You will sign up with each child’s teacher separately.

Grade 7 and Grade 8 parents, tomorrow your students will receive a permission slip for a dance at Bishop Blanchet High School.  Please be aware that the regional principals have noted that students are attempting to attend dances to which they have not received permission forms from St. John School administration. The dates of the dances for which we will issue permission slips are communicated monthly.

All Parents:  Playground needs you! Catherine Dahlgren is in need of volunteers for the lunch recess.  Please step up – one day or many days – students need the fresh air! Link here.

Blessings,

Bernadette O’Leary
