St. John Families Help the Homeless

Are you looking for ways to teach your children about social justice and how to care for others?  Bring your children and join us for an evening of education and impact:

St. John Families Helping the Homeless
Thursday, November 16, 6:30-8pm, Egan Hall

On November 16, our community will gather to compile comfort kits for local homeless people. Kits will include warm hats, socks, toiletries, snacks, a card with kind words, and many other smaller items.  Each family will leave with kits to distribute to people in need. The Seattle Police Department and Noel House will give us short presentations on issues surrounding homelessness and how we can best make a difference.

We are still in need of several goods for the event. The fourth graders will be collecting items through next Thursday, November 16. All classrooms have collection bins. We are in need of hats, socks, gloves, snacks (such as instant oatmeal or protein bars), extra Halloween candy, travel size toiletries, tea bags, wipes, etc.

If you would prefer to donate funds to help the cause link here.  Proceeds will be used to purchase products for the comfort kits.

Thank you!
