Pope Francis launched a two-year global initiative in support of immigrants and refugees in St. Peter’s Square on September 27, 2017. The campaign reflects the Church’s commitment to all God’s children, especially the most vulnerable in our midst.
It is the hope that every parish and school in the Archdiocese of Seattle will be inspired to show their love for our brothers and sisters who have fled their homes seeking safety and hope for the future around the world and here in the United States.
- Share the Journey website The Share the Journey website includes a message from our Bishops, an historical timeline from 1850 showing the Archdiocese of Seattle’s ministry of welcome, a Share the Journey Prayer, and action steps…what you can do.
- Cultural Masses Card – A Moment of Encounter Archbishop Sartain is inviting all of us to experience an encounter by attending a Cultural Mass within the Archdiocese in another language this year.

Please pray for this important initiative, that we may continue to welcome newcomers who seek security, peace, and hope and share their journey.
