Message from the Principal

Thank you for accommodating the change of date and coming to the State of the School presentation last night. We had good attendance this morning also and we look forward to meeting the rest of you, parents, this evening. Thank you to parent, Matt Deines for presenting and to alum parent, Jeri Jarvie for the slideshow. It is such a pleasure to share with you all the accomplishments and good news about St. John. We are proud to present the spiritual and academic successes of our students, the creativity and commitment of the teachers and your dedication. As you prepare for facilitation and discern your tuition payment for the coming school year, I ask you to prayerfully consider the news that Matt Deines shared with you – that we are proposing a salary increase that will bring our teachers and assistant teachers closer or to the Seattle Public School salary level. We can only do that with your support. Once facilitation and tuition pledges are completed, the school will have the necessary information to set salaries for all teachers next year.

Speaking of facilitation, be on the look-out for any necessary date changes to facilitation meetings, the Sweetheart Dance, sports events. Check the school website and the St. John Facebook page regularly for updated information regarding closures, cancellations, early dismissals, or delayed starts. We will continue to monitor the weather in the coming days and keep you informed.

Thank you also for opting in to receive the emergency text notifications from St. John. Note–in order to receive text notifications your mobile number must be on file in PowerSchool.  If your mobile number is current in the PowerSchool database you may still need to opt-in to receive notifications. Opt-in by sending a text message to 67587 and include “YES” in the body of the message. You should then receive a confirmation message.

Please remember in your prayers those in our community who need God’s blessings and support.
