Advent Giving Tree     Look for the Advent Giving Tree in the back of the church this month.  Take an ornament from the Giving Tree and return that item by Monday, December 23.  You can leave the unwrapped items under the tree in the church or drop them off in the Parish Office.  Thank you so much for your generosity in making this a wonderful Christmas for the homeless in our community.  This year your donations will be supporting:  Noel House, St Martin de Porres and

Broadview-Thomson K-8 Food Program.

We Need Volunteers for the Men’s Shelter!     From now through May, we will be hosting up to 10 men (ages 45 and up) from St. Martin de Porres shelter.  It’s the same basic schedule as the shelter we’ve been running for the last 25 years except:

    1. We will host men instead of women
    2. Saturday nights only
    3. Staying in the portables near the playground.

Are you willing to help?  We need everyone, but especially men to sign up to stay the night.  You could do this one time this year, once a month, or any amount.  Please get involved in this unique opportunity to spend time with the most vulnerable of our neighbors.  Drivers / stayers / food prep people are needed.  Email Kristin Kent for more details.
