CYO Update

CYO Athletics is sports done a different way – as one community.  Individuals and teams strive for greatness in accordance with Gospel values.  This Fall calls on us to have the courage to act for the common good in the classroom and on the field.  As such, we will need to be adaptable, patient, and open-minded as athletic schedules and formats change.  Below are the updates to Fall CYO Athletics.

Soccer Program    Unfortunately, grades 4-8 soccer games for the CYO 20-21 program year are canceled.  Grades K-3 soccer will be postponed until the Spring, with seven Saturdays of games.  Team Sideline Soccer Page has been updated to reflect these changes to the Soccer program for this year.

Cross Country Program      XC will be available virtually!  Our numbers are still too high for us to offer in-person Cross Country programming, but we believe we have found a viable “virtual” option.  Keep in mind, the idea behind a virtual season is that there is, in fact, no in-person meets or practices with coaches and teammates. The participation in the program will rely heavily on members of each household (parents, guardians, responsible family members) to support our young athletes to run distances on their own, record their times with their coaches, and get them posted on Athletic.net each week.  Team Sideline Cross Country page has been updated to reflect these changes to our Cross-Country program for 2020. The first Virtual Meet is September 15!

Look for more information in the upcoming week!
