Girls on the Run® will be offered (3:10-4:40pm) on Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning March 2, 2020, and concluding on May 13m 2929. Girls on the Run® will participate in a Sunday 5K run in the spring. Girls on the Run® instruction, activities, and supplies are provided by Girls on the Run® program. The faculty advisor is Paul Kelley (Assistant Principal). The parent organizer and head coach is Teresa Tallarita. The coach will be assisted by Kate DeMotts, Sue Howe, and Jody Reich. Girls on the Run® will meet in Tahoma, Portable 43.
Registration Fee: Girls on the Run® of Puget Sound requests that each program participant’s family pay a registration fee. This fee includes a GOTR t-shirt, 5K registration, a medal as the participant finishes the 5K, healthy snacks, a water bottle, Grown-up Guide for Parents, and a lifetime of confidence and the power to walk tall! A sliding scale is offered so that families of all sizes and income levels can choose an appropriate registration fee (see below). You are not asked for proof of income or expense. Please review the scale and determine the fee amount that is right for you. Thank you for contributing as much toward the full cost of the program as you.
DID YOU KNOW…the actual cost per participant to Girls on the Run® of Puget Sound is $290? This amount covers liability insurance, CPR/First Aid training for all lead coaches, background checks on every volunteer, intensive coaches training, copies of curriculum, and coaches’ boxes containing participant materials. Our commitment is to supplement the cost per participant regardless of ability to pay. Any additional donations help to expand the program to more girls each season.
