St. John Grad Wins Programming Contest

St John grad, Andrew Gilbrough ’13 (far right), a member of the Bishop Blanchet computer programming team, earned 1st place honors at the recent Puget Sound Computer Science Teachers’ Association (PSCSTA) Programming Contest last weekend.  Andrew and his team competed against fellow Puget Sound area high school students at the programming contest held at the Microsoft campus in Redmond. Teams were tasked with twelve increasingly more difficult programming challenges within a specific time period. Andrew’s team not only finished the contest before the time limit, but they received a perfect score!
