Altar Server Opportunity and ACA Report

ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL    With a gift to the Annual Catholic Appeal, the virtue of mercy is shown to help our brothers and sisters have hope.  ACA helps to feed the hungry, clothe the needy, provide a presence of Christ in hospitals, schools and prisons, strengthen parishes throughout the region, provide funding for social outreach programs, help retired priests as well as educate future priests, and many other programs and services.

We have collectively given $65,307 thus far!  Thank you! Our own parish benefits financially when we surpass our parish goal of $90,692.  If you have not already turned in your donation to ACA, please do so.  (Note: If we do not reach our goal of $90,692 the parish must pay the difference between what we have reached and our goal amount.)

When you support the Annual Catholic Appeal, you do more than just provide financial support – you change lives.   Link here to donate.

ALTAR SERVER OPPORTUNITY, Grades 5 and up!     Any child that has received First Holy Communion and is in the 5th through 12th grades can become an altar server. Altar serving promotes responsibility, accountability, leadership and above all, teamwork. It is also a chance for young people to get to know other Catholic children which helps reinforce moral and ethical values our children need, to face the difficult issues in today’s society.

Many families with children have challenging schedules. Servers generally are scheduled twice a month to allow for flexibility.

We ask each child to attend at least two training sessions. Training is held after Saturday 5pm Mass and Sunday 10:30am Mass (date TBD).  Please contact Cheri Wolf at cheriawolf@hotmail.com for more information and to sign up.
