Hot Lunch Program at St. John School

The school hot lunch program in Crispin’s Kitchen is excited to introduce the kitchen team. This unique project is driven entirely by St. John parents.

Head Chef Michael Strimban and Registered Dietician Kara Dacquisto have been working since last spring to conceptualize a menu that is healthy, appealing to students, and a good value for families. John Eberly has been working behind the scenes to create an online ordering platform for collecting orders and payments.

Michael Strimban: Head Chef

  • Johnson and Whales Culinary School
  • Interned at the Buckhead Life Restaurant Group
  • 15 years experience working as a chef at various restaurants
  • Passionate about providing a school lunch cooked on site, from scratch, with fresh ingredients
  • Parent of a 2nd grader

Kara Dacquisto: Dietary Consultant

  • M.S. Nutritional Science from San Jose St.
  • 12 years experience Registered Dietician
  • Recently redesigned Patient Menu at Providence Hospital-Pacific Campus
  • Envisions a school lunch menu that is balanced, healthy, and provides a good variety
  • Parent of 3rd grader and Kindergarten

John Eberly: Systems Manager

  • John attended engineering school at Washington University in St. Louis
  • 15 years experience in software industry
  • Currently founder of Chatlio.com
  • Parent of 1st grader

John hopes to bring a parent’s perspective to the software side of running a school lunch program, focusing on simplicity and ease of use.
