A Campaign Message from Fr. Crispin 3/16

Jambo Rafikis,

After prayerful thought and consideration, St. John the Evangelist Parish and School is moving forward with a capital campaign. As we celebrate 100 years of faith, this campaign will ensure that we will continue to share in that faith as a community. The Honor the Past, Embrace the Present, Secure the Future Capital Campaign will address specific needs that will focus on the future of St. John.

We hired the Steier Group, a national fundraising and development firm, to conduct a five-week, parish-wide planning study. The results of that study indicate that strong support exists within our community for a capital campaign. The campaign preparations have begun and, in the coming weeks, we will be recruiting volunteers and finalizing the campaign goals for this important project.

Volunteers are a vital part of the success of the campaign. If you are interested in helping, please reach out to the parish office or reply to phone calls from the Cabinet Committee volunteers. In the coming weeks, we will continue to keep you informed on the campaign and its progress. And, finally, I graciously ask that you prayerfully consider how you can help our parish through this campaign and to pray for its success. I have great faith in our community and look forward to coming together as good stewards of our parish. With your help and commitment, we can build an even stronger faith community. For, as you know, the success of the campaign rests not on the backs of a few, but many.

Baraka ya Yesu,

Rev. Crispin A. Okoth
