Fall Soccer and Cross Country Registration Opening

Link here to register for Fall Soccer and Cross Country.  Deadline – August 1, 2017

SOCCER

Registration – Registration deadline is firm – August 1, 2017. Any registration received after August 1, will only be accepted if there is space on a team’s roster. Soccer is open for boys and girls in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Practice begins in mid-late August depending on the grade. See the website for more info about the specifics.

Coach/Volunteer Sign Up Info – All returning and new coaches of Kindergarten students, please register in the same place for their student’s given grade (soccer background not required, so register to coach ASAP as it is a great way to get to know the children and parents).  Any new coach for 1st to 8th grades should email the coordinator to discuss options.  Anyone looking to volunteer on the soccer administration side, please also reach out to the coordinator.  Coaches will have the opportunity for some training sessions on the pitch this summer and late August.

Gear Donation – If you have gently used soccer gear or balls (all sizes) and would like to donate it, please place them in the bins near the lost and found in the west hallway.  New this year, we have setup a gear donation optional add-on as part of registration process. The soccer programs will use these donations to meet the goal of increasing balls, portable goals and other equipment for our teams. Donations will be included in your tax deduction accrual and be included in your statement from the school.

High School Volunteers Needed – Please let any high school student know about an opportunity to volunteer as a coach/ref for service hours. All high school students looking for service hours should email Monica Overby, mowright00@hotmail.com.

CROSS COUNTRY

Registration – Cross Country is open to students from Pre-K through 8th grade (Pre-K students can participate in practices but will not race in the meets). For general information about practices and the season, and to register via “SportsPilot” please see our website:  CYO CROSS COUNTRY.

Summer Running – Over the summer, we’ll have some easy practice runs, so keep your eyes open for future communications. Something your 4th through 8th grade runner might enjoy over the summer is Blanchet’s Cross Country camp in June:  Bishop Blanchet Cross Country Summer Camp
