5th Annual Blessing of the Backpacks Mass
Supporting the Broadview-Thomson K-8 Food Program Sunday, September 17, at 10:30am Mass, St. John Church Bring your backpacks to Mass with food donations inside. Father will bless the food and the backpacks for another successful year.
Dried food like 1 lb. containers of low sugar cereals, spaghetti, tuna helper, mac & cheese, beans & rice, dried soups or side dishes, fruits & “just add water” muffin mixes.
Plastic jars of 12oz peanut butter.
St. John Parish hosts a group of homeless women in the mezzanine every Saturday and Sunday night of the school year, for over 24 years! We have volunteer opportunities in this amazing ministry. It is easy, interesting, good work. Please come find out more at our wine and cheese party October 1, (Sunday) at 5pm in the mezzanine.
