Volunteer Needs – Are You Filling a Need?

As a Fair Share School – one of a handful of schools nationally – we count on our families to meet their volunteer commitments.  We cannot run our program without you!  If you have not yet found the right spot for your talents and are available during daytime hours, consider the following:

  • Kitchen Volunteers Needed! – Find the right spot for yourself!
    • Have fun in Crispin’s Kitchen, one day, several days, all days – you choose!  Music, laughter, share a meal, delight in the lunchroom activity with students!  Visit SignUp Hot Lunch and find a spot before it’s too late!  Need/want a food handler’s permit?  Link here for the King County site.  You can receive a permit through this online site.
  • Our Lady of Perpetual Asphalt Is Calling – Testimony of a volunteer
    • “This is my 14th year on the playground at Saint John and it is far and away my favorite volunteer activity. I watch the little ones learn to navigate the social ups and downs of school, work with the (intermediate) grades on understanding just how important – or not – the outcome of that game of bump or flyers is in the grand scheme of things, and watch the middle schoolers hit puberty and all the fun that brings. There’s never a dull moment on the blacktop, and you can work in 3-5,000 steps every recess! Come join us!” Paula Pessner

      • Do join the team for an hour one day, many days, or every day!  You choose – link here.
