From the Parish – Youth Events

Migrant Camp Service Opportunity for 6th through 8th Grade StudentsAugust 19-24, 2018     All students entering grades 6 through 8 in fall 2018 are invited to be part of an incredible mission trip opportunity in Burlington, Washington. This is an opportunity to learn about migrant life through the supervision of Jose Ortiz, Director, Youth Migrant Camp in Burlington.

Students pay for their room and board in a neighboring parish, and then spend four days immersed in migrant camp life. There is time to work in the fields, play with children, man the food bank, help prepare meals and learn about lives radically different from their own. We join with Sacred Heart Parish in Bellevue. The cost of room and board is yet to be determined, and financial aid is available.

Firefall Conference for Youth     On March 10, students will gather with speakers and musicians to experience their faith in a whole new way. This is a great way for students to get excited about faith and hear about the upcoming weekend Steubenville conference.  Please email Sheila Connolly as soon as possible if you are interested in attending this day retreat. sconnolly@stjohnsea.org
