Migrant Youth Mission Trip Spaces are limited for this fantastic opportunity! Middle schoolers from our parish will join a group from Sacred Heart for a 5-day trip to the Skagit Valley. The children will get a chance to help in the migrant worker community, meet and bond with kids their age, speak some Spanish (!), cook their own meals with their friends, work in a local food bank, and learn about social justice issues. Staff Changes at St John Parish Sheila Connolly, our Director of Evangelization and Faith Formation, has completed her course work and taken a full-time Chaplain position. Understandably, this means she has reduced her hours at St John. We will still see her on Thursdays in the office and she will continue to support our Sacramental Prep programs. We wish her the best and are so grateful she will continue to have a presence at St John.
Fortuitously, Kristin Kent expressed her desire to work in her parish. We are pleased that now Kristin is helping to continue the Faith Formation programs already in place and to develop new ones where there is interest. Kristin already has a big presence at St John as one of the Women’s Shelter coordinators, a CLOW volunteer, a Faith Sharing Group leader and lector extraordinaire. Be sure to say “Congratulations” to both Sheila and Kristin.

Vacation Bible School at Christ the King This year’s theme is “A Radical Ride on the Wings of Prayer.” Students will enjoy a great week, July 30 through August 3, 9am-12:30pm.
