Volunteering at St. John

Volunteers are an integral part of our community and our Fair Share philosophy. Your enthusiastic volunteerism helps keep operating costs low, fundraisers successful, and is a wonderful way to connect to the school community.

Volunteering opportunities at St. John School are vast and varied. Be kind, and volunteer; currently, we have need for volunteers in the following areas:

  • Crispin’s KitchenHelp Chef Michael prepare and/or serve delicious meals to the students.
  • Parent Association – It’s not too late to join the PA Leadership Team!  We especially need leaders in grades 5, 7 and 8.
  • Playground Monitors – Mrs. Dahlgren, Our Lady of Perpetual Asphalt, is calling for volunteers to assist with playground monitoring during the lunch hour. Contact Mrs. Dahlgren to sign up for a time. Your participation is very important in keeping our students safe.
  • Vision / Hearing Screening Volunteers – Volunteer health professionals, Emily Hallman and Kathy Beck will organize Vision/Hearing Screening on Thursday, October 17. Students in grades K, 2, 4, and 6 will be screened. Volunteers are needed to assist with guiding students through the screening; you do not need to be a health professional to volunteer. We appreciate your assistance with this free testing. Contact Emily Hallman with questions.
