Jog-a-thon 2019: Crazy Fun!

We had a GREAT day on Friday, September 20, at the 7th annual St. John Jog-a-thon! All of the kids showed up dressed crazy, with smiles on their faces and ready to run!

WE HAVE RAISED OVER $75,000 TOWARD OUR GOAL OF $80,000! Thank you for your generous donations! Students will earn an all-school Free Dress Day on Jog-a-thon Celebration Day, October 18, IF we reach our goal on or before October 4. You may continue to make donations and/or check our status via 99Pledges. There are only EIGHT days left to donate!

There are still many prizes to be won—including the Springfree trampoline! You have until October 4 to get your donations in at 99pledges. Remember for every $200 raised per family, an entry goes into the trampoline raffle. Other prizes still up for grabs:

  • $300 per family by October 4 earns your child entry into the popular Cash Grabbin’ Gecko game on Jog-a-thon Celebration Day, October 18.
  • Silly String Showdown with Pablo and Ms. O’Leary:  which grade is going to win? Keep the donations coming! The Grade with the highest donations by October 4 wins! HURRY…only 8 days left! Right now, the leading grades are:
    • 1st place – 7th Grade
    • 2nd place – 1st Grade
    • 3rd place – 6th Grade

ALMOST EVERY GRADE is STILL in competition for the Silly String Showdown!

Mr. Tice’s Seventh Grade Class won the “Theme Song” competition, and they picked Lil Nas X ‘Panini’ as our 2019 theme song.

Scrip Raffle Winners were Nicolas Sourov, Aidan Meyers, and Skylar Aguila. They each won a $25 scrip gift card –thanks to their families for raising $150 or more towards Jog-a-thon!

The class that ran the Most Miles was Mr. Stinebrickner’s. These runners collectively logged 56.4 miles during their running time! They are being rewarded with a movie and popcorn party on Jog-a-thon Celebration Day. Mrs. Brumback’s (55.8 miles) and Mrs. Jessup’s classes (51.2 miles) also won a movie and popcorn party. Great effort!

We will celebrate our accomplishments, award prizes, do the Silly String Showdown, Cash Grabbin’ Gecko game, and pick the trampoline winner ALL ON OCTOBER 18!  Feel free to join us for this fun day of celebrating the Jog-a-thon.
