Parish News

Visit the Parish Website for detailed information about Mass schedules, special events, and the Parish e-newsletter.  The following are highlights:

State of the Parish     As with most everything at this time, the State of the Parish presentation will look a little different this year.  We will have an abbreviated presentation at the 5pm Mass on Saturday, November 7, that will also be live-streamed.  After Mass, a video will be available that shows our current financial picture, highlighting the great things you have helped St. John accomplish and asking you to prayerfully consider your commitment for 2021.

School families:  In order to be eligible, and to remain eligible for in-parish tuition, each family must meet the following criteria:

    • Be registered in the Parish—you may do this at the parish office or online at www.stjohnsea.org
    • Be active in the life of the Parish including:
      • “Attend” the State of the Parish presentation by accessing it online beginning Saturday, 11/7 after the 5pm Mass
      • Be supportive of or involved in one of the many ministries of the Parish
      • File a stewardship pledge card if you are a new family or you have changed your pledge amount; otherwise, your pledge will automatically roll over from 2020
      • Make a consistent effort to meet that pledge

School families will receive their packets in the mail, which will include the pledge card and Stewardship Agreement.

Stewardship Renewal     We are introducing the Pledge Rollover for your 2021 Sacrificial Pledge.  Rollover provides the opportunity for parish members to simply “rollover” their pledge from the current year to next without having to submit a pledge card unless you would wish to change your pledge, have not yet submitted a pledge card, or have other changes.  If you pay online and need to adjust your payment method, please contact Sheila Marty at smarty@stjohnsea.orgThose who made a pledge to support the Parish financially in 2020 will simply be rolled-over to 2021 unless we hear from you.

Thank you in advance for your ongoing support, in all ways, of St. John Parish.  We continue to be a vibrant and thriving community even in the middle of a pandemic because of YOU.  Your commitment of resources helps to serve not only our Parish but those in the greater community as wellPlease contact Teresa Gillett, Director of Parish Development, at tgillett@stjohnsea.org with any questions.

Sacrament of Reconciliation     The schedule for Fall First Reconciliation classes has been updated. Please refer to the school calendar.

Public Masses     Seattle is approved for Phase 2.  We can now have public Masses with limited capacity.  Reservations are required to attend Mass – visit the Parish Mass Reservation page here.
