Parish News

Visit the Parish Website for detailed information about Mass schedules, special events, and the Parish e-newsletter. The following are highlights:

Faith Formation Position Available (Part-Time)     Are you looking for an opportunity to grow in your own faith while helping to bring it to life for our faith-sharing groups, bible study events, and those going through the process of joining the church (RCIA)? If you are interested in some or all of these opportunities, we are looking for you! We are looking to add a part-time, paid position to help bring the faith alive to others. If you are interested, please email Julia Rudden, jrudden@stjohnsea.org or Dani D’Amelio, ddamelio@stjohnsea.org for more information. We look forward to talking with you!

Parish Earth Day Cleanup     Please join the Saint Francis of Assisi ministry in celebrating Earth Day on Saturday, April 24, by helping to clean up our neighborhood. We will gather in the school parking lot near the north school entrance at 9am, departing at 9:15am for the target of our goodness, a short walk away. Please wear a mask and maintain social distancing recommendations. All are welcome including children (you will need to supervise them). Feel free to bring friends and family. The clean-up will go from about 9-11 am, but you can depart earlier (or stay later). Details and RSVP at https://tinyurl.com/StJohnCU2021

Annual Catholic Appeal    This week, you will receive Archbishop Etienne’s letter inviting you to support the essential ministries and shared services of the Archdiocese through the Annual Catholic Appeal. St. John’s goal this year is $91,896. Donations received above this amount will come back to the parish and go toward the purchase of a permanent, upgraded video and sound system in the Church. With this equipment, we will be able to improve our service to the community by offering both in-person and higher quality live-streamed Masses along with other communication needs in the parish. If you are able to contribute, know that each dollar makes a difference. There is such need, especially now, in the wider community of Western Washington. You will be hearing more about the ACA from parishioner Lawrence Kent at Mass on May 1 and 2, and in a letter from Fr. Crispin coming soon. The quickest and easiest way to donate is to do so online. Please go to http://www.archseattle.org/acadonate. Thank you in advance for your continued support! If you have already made a donation, Asante Sana!

Public Masses     We can now have public Masses with limited capacity. Reservations are required to attend Mass; visit the Parish Mass Reservation page here.
