First Holy Communion     It is time to register for First Communion preparation! Families: do you have a child who will enter second grade this fall? Or, do you have an older child who has not yet had the opportunity to prepare for the sacrament? You can access the registration form on our website. Questions? ACA Update:  We Did It!   ASANTE SANA! With the help of 104 families, we have reached our 2021 Annual Catholic Appeal goal of $91,896! Once again, the great community of St. John came together as one to offer support to the more than 60 ministries in Western Washington that the ACA funds.  Now that we have met our goal, 100% of any further pledges will come directly back to St. John to help fund our upgraded and permanent video and sound system in the church. As the result of our All Parish Survey, there was overwhelming support for continuing to live-stream the Masses, Sacraments and other events. If you would still like to contribute, the easiest way to give is online here or call the ACA office at 1-800-809-4921.

Greenwood Welcome Home Baskets   In Fall 2021 Catholic Housing Services and Catholic Community Services of Western Washington will be opening a new building on Greenwood Ave. in North Seattle to provide housing and services for local college students experiencing homelessness. This new building is within walking distance of St. John.  The St. John community can help support these students as they move into their new homes by creating welcome home baskets. Our most needed items are bedding, kitchen utensils, and cleaning supplies. You can find a wish list of all needed items online at http://tgt.gifts/greenwoodwelcomehome. Emergency Collection for Haiti    This is a special appeal for the U.S. Bishops Emergency Disaster Fund to support Haiti after the earthquake and tropical storm Grace. We will also have special collection envelopes in the pews and the Parish Office the next couple of weeks or you can donate electronically.
