Please join us for the 9th Annual Blessing of the Backpacks! Although this year still looks different from previous years, our support of the Broadview-Thomson K-8 Food Program is more important than ever. The BTK-8 Food program serves meals to over 500 children. Let’s continue this special tradition and care for our neighbors.
The annual Blessing of the Backpacks will take place on Friday, September 24 at 8:15am on the school parking lot. Fr. Crispin will bless the backpacks, which will hopefully be filled with food donations to BTK-8. This is a great opportunity for our students to participate directly in the support of those in our community most in need. Donations can also be dropped off in the Parish Office before September 24 or at Masses the weekend of September 25 and 26. Questions? Donation Ideas
- Monetary donations/grocery store gift cards to Broadview-Thomson PTA [a 501 c(3) organization]
- Canned food of tuna, condensed soups, baked beans, chili, Chef Boy-R-D and spaghetti sauce. We kindly request no glass containers.
- Dried food such as tuna helper, mac & cheese, beans and rice, raisins, cup-o-noodle and “just add water” muffin mix
- Plastic jars of 12oz peanut butter
