Calling All Volunteers!

Catholic Schools Week Volunteers Needed! Please consider volunteering to help monitor lunch, January 31 through February 4. It would be great to fill out all of the weeks, but it’s especially important that we can support this week to show our teachers how much we appreciate them. Sign up here.

Be on the lookout for other Catholic Schools Week volunteering opportunities such as additional kitchen volunteers for Homecoming Lunch on the Friday of Catholic Schools Week and Virtual Vocation Talks, an opportunity to present your career to classes.

Lunch Monitor – Please support our Teachers! If you cannot volunteer during Catholic Schools, we kindly ask you to consider volunteering as a lunch monitor another time so that our hard-working teachers can have time to eat lunch, re-charge, and prepare for afternoon classes. Volunteer for one shift or seven; no long-term commitment needed – it doesn’t have to be the whole shift; any time you volunteer will help our teachers! A story or video will also be shown during lunch to minimize talking among students not wearing their masks.

Middle School MusicalCalling all Sewers and Crafters! If you or someone you know likes to sew, craft, or create, the Middle School Musical could use your help! We need to make costumes for Mary Poppins, Jr., which will be performed in mid-March. Students need costumes ranging from 1910 middle-class Brits to Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious party people. Work from home or bring your supplies and sewing machines to the work parties in Egan Hall February 5, 6, 12,13, and March 5 and 6. Please contact Kari Aguila at kaguila@st-johnschool.org to volunteer!
