CYO News: Track & Field and Volleyball

Track & Field: Registration is Open!

We are excited to announce that track is back! Track is open to all students in grades 4 through 8 who are interested in running, jumping and throwing. Students do not need to have any experience; we just ask that kids come to practice with a positive attitude and to be ready to learn and grow with us. Practices start April 5 and will be on Tuesdays, 6:45-8:15pm at Nathan Hale High School, and Thursdays, 6:30-8 pm at Whitman Middle School. Please contact us if you have any questions (Lorna, Lorna.luebbe@pse.com, or Nelle, steeletupe@hotmail.com); we can’t wait to see your child on April 5!

Track & Field: Volunteer Parent Coaches

CYO is a parent-led program, and we welcome parents who are interested in volunteering for the track and field season. If you are curious about what it might be like to help coach or coordinate track for St. John/St. Al, join us for our kick-off coaches’ meeting at Chuck’s Hop Shop on Wednesday, March 16, 7-8:30 pm. We’ll discuss the upcoming season, roles, and what coaching is like on our track team. Contact Nelle if you have any questions (steeletupe@hotmail.com); we look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, March 16.

Volleyball Update

Starting March 19, masks will be optional for athletes, coaches and spectators for CYO Volleyball. We recommend that everyone always have masks on hand since some schools in our conference will still require masks when competing. We will continue to share CYO updates with you when they become available.
