In Case You Missed It…
Lunch Monitor – Please support our Teachers!
Please consider volunteering as a lunch monitor so that our hard-working teachers can have time to eat lunch and prepare for afternoon classes. No long-term commitment needed; any time you volunteer will help our teachers! Thank you to those who have volunteered!
Mass Videographers Needed
We need more adult volunteers to run our new Video and Sound System during the 5pm Vigil Mass, Special Events, Funerals, and Weddings. Training is provided and scheduling will be through Sign-up Genius. This rewarding ministry helps keep our homebound parishioners connected, as well as comforting those who can’t attend funerals and weddings in person. For school parents, the time doing it counts as your volunteer hours, and you get to attend mass! If you would like more information or are interested in volunteering, contact Julia Rudden at jrudden@stjohnsea.org

Volunteer as a Buddy Family
Partnering with the school, buddy families reach out to the new family and provide them with support and familiar faces to help foster a connection to the school. We need many Buddy Families in our PK and Kindergarten classes. We also have several new families in grades 2 and 3. To sign up as a Buddy Family, please email Julia Tsurusaki at julia@thesakigroup.com. If you’ve already reached out via The Welcome Committee, you’re already on the list!
Summer Solutions Workbooks
Summer Solutions workbooks help prevent the “summer slide” and prepare students as they return to school after the summer holiday confident in the skills they’ve already learned and ready to master new ones. More information can be found in the Summer Solutions post.
