Art for Ukraine

Ms. Veronika Wellnitz has returned from volunteering with Ukrainian refugees in Poland. She distributed close to a thousand lovingly handmade signs of solidarity crafted by our students. The artwork was sent to clinics in Warsaw and Krakow that work with refugee children, and Ms. Wellnitz also hand-delivered hundreds of pocket art to the foundation at which she was volunteering. The children at the foundation were so thankful to receive these gifts of support and responded with friendship art of their own, which were shared with St. John students.

The friendship pocket art were so well received that other organizations – an orphanage in Poland and Voice of Children in Ukraine – have requested these signs of friendship from our students, so look out for more pocket art sessions in the fall. Thank you to the many St. John students who contributed to this project and shared their love from Seattle. And thank you, Ms. Wellnitz, for leading this project of love.
