CYO Update

Cross Country

Thank you to all of our XC volunteers, especially coaches James Bozsa and Andrew Exnicios. We had a fantastic season with countless personnel bests, numerous team awards, loads of top 10 finishes, a new course record and the appointment of our first-ever player captains for next year! Thank you also to the many volunteers. Whether it was checking in runners, being a course monitor, running with students, leading a group, or any of the other countless tasks that come up throughout the season, we are grateful to you! Thank you!

Soccer

We are in our final week of the soccer season. It has been a great year for St. Al/John where 5 out 6 of our middle school teams made the playoffs. We are really proud of the 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls who had an amazing regular season. Come out and support our 7th and 8th grade boys in their championship games this Saturday, October 29, at Bishop Blanchet. Seventh grade boys will play at 3:30pm, and the 8th grade boys will play under the lights at 6:30pm. Congratulations to all of our soccer teams for a successful season. Thank you to all of our coaches, especially our soccer coordinator, Matt Bondurant. We have 535 students in our school, and over 400 students came out for soccer this year!

Reminder to ALL Players – Gear Return: From November 1 through November 8, you can return your gear to the Parish office “great room”/rectory large table area. The parish office is open from approximately 8:15am-4pm. Please help with the following:

  • Dry it out / get as much dirt off the balls as you can.
  • Please wash your pennies as they generally need more than one washing to recover.
  • Bins will be set up. Unload everything from your bags except balls. That means no trash, first aid kits, pens, leaves, loose clothes, etc. There will be bins for issued gear. Put anything else in the trash or lost and found!
  • Sign out the gear you return on the sheet on the clipboard.
  • Gear return is open for the week of 11/1-8 only. Please return during the window!
