One Rapid Test that Detects Both COVID-19 AND Influenza – Consent Form Needed 

BD Triplex, which detects COVID-19 and Influenza A & B in one single test, is now available at St. John and can be used to test students who have symptoms of illness. BD Triplex is a new rapid antigen test offered by the Department of Health (DOH).  

• The following consent form must be signed by a parent/guardian in order for a student to be tested using BD Triplex. Parents/guardians will be notified prior to the student being tested. 
• This test will only be available at school because it requires a specific analyzer to obtain results. Results will be available after 15 minutes.  
• Parents/guardians will be notified of their student’s test results.
