Back to School BBQ

The Back-to-School Celebration and BBQ is tomorrow, Friday, September 8, from 6-9pm. Limitless fun awaits! Let the kids explore Kids Parkour in the Play Pit with Kong Academy. (The Kong Academy online waiver has closed; however, paper waivers will be available at the BBQ.) Check out Rocket Launches with the Greenwood Scouts, the Uniform Exchange, the Desserts, Face Painting with our very own St. John middle schoolers, and all the books at the Book Giveaway (bring a bag to collect books for home.) As a reminder, ticket sales for the BBQ are closed, and tickets are not available for purchase “at the door.” Note the following:

• We expect a record turnout. Parking in the neighborhood will be difficult (no playground parking). We strongly encourage and expect you to carpool, bike, walk or jog (practice for the Jogathon!) to the BBQ to reduce traffic and parking congestion, and please, be respectful of our neighbors. If you are parking in the neighborhood, please do not block driveways.
• Bring your own camp chairs and blankets for communal sitting.
• Bring your own bags to take home books from the Book Giveaway.
• Volunteer, please. We need volunteers to help put on this amazing community event. We are especially looking for help with food and drink running as well as clean up, among other positions. Volunteer roles are in shifts so you will have time to enjoy the BBQ.
