St. John Annual Blessing of the Animals, Sunday, Oct. 1, 12pm, in the Courtyard

The Saint Francis of Assisi ministry and St. John would like to invite you to bring your pet to the courtyard on Sunday, October 1 to celebrate the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi. Father Crispin will be blessing the animals from 12-12:30pm. Please note that we anticipate animals of all sizes and types, and we don’t wish any to be harmed. Thus, we require all dogs to either be leashed or carried in a secure dog carrier. In addition, all other animals (e.g. cats, birds, hamsters, snakes, etc.) need to be brought to the courtyard in a secure carrier. If you can’t bring your pet in a secure carrier or if you can’t control your leashed dog, please leave your pet at home and bring a photo for Father Crispin to bless.

Faith Formation

Fall Reception: Join the Faith Formation Commission for a Fall reception on 9/24 following both masses. We will be bringing back Chef Sue, who hosted a fabulous event at Easter, and will provide fall-themed treats and a space to connect with one another. Interested in volunteering? Sign up here

Family movie night: Family Movies are back! Join us on 10/28 following 5pm Mass (and the State of the Parish) for pizza and Coco. Preview the movie here. This event is for all families; kids can bring cozy items to lay out during the movie. Parents are required to stay for the event.

Agape: Last summer Faith Formation took students and their families to support our local farmworker community in the Bellingham area. The kids were inspired by the experience, and we were amazed by their maturity, hard work and engagement throughout. Soon, we will need to commit to participating in 2024. Please complete this survey to indicate your interest in this experience.
