Calling All Volunteers
Have you started accruing your volunteer hours at St. John? Did you know that your volunteerism enables us to keep operating costs low and is a wonderful way for parents to connect to the community? Parents/guardians should strive towards the yearly volunteer goal of 40 hours per two-parent family and 20 hours per one-parent family. We welcome grandparents, extended family, parishioners, neighbors and special friends of St. John to volunteer as well. Thank you to all who have already signed up! Current opportunities for volunteerism are:
Endowment Event, 10/22: Don’t have tickets but looking for a fun way to get in your service hours? Volunteers help St. John significantly lower our costs, and if you have tickets, you can volunteer for a couple of hours and still enjoy the rest of the event! (*Note that tickets are required for all attending.) We need volunteers; please sign up here.
Box Tops Representative for Our School: We are looking for a volunteer to help promote Box Tops involvement at school which helps fund playground equipment. This is a low-key commitment that has a big impact. Please contact PA Chairs, Rachael Groark and Maile Sullivan for more information.
Welcome Committee: We are looking for the next co-chairs of the Welcome Committee. It’s a role with the greatest presence in the spring and summer and a bit in the fall as we help new families settle into the St. John community. This role can be as time-consuming as you want it to be; however, with a team of people helping with buddy families and summer playdates, this is probably a 1-2 hour a month commitment and event participation for events you plan. Contact current co-chairs, Kristen or Julia for more information.
