American Heart Association – Kids Heart Challenge

Kids Heart Challenge is kicking off tomorrow, Friday, April 19 with a fun-filled assembly by the American Heart Association! Together, we’ll empower our students to have happy and healthy hearts and brains, while raising lifesaving donations to help others with special hearts. Help our school meet our goal by following these steps:

  1. Sign up today at http://www2.heart.org/goto/StJohnSeattle or by downloading the free AHA Schools App for Apple or Android
  2. SEND 10 emails/texts to friends & family asking for a donation!
  3. Start Finn’s Mission to learn Hands-Only CPR & raise lifesaving donations to help special hearts. ❤

Students who register before April 19 will get a special shout-out during the assembly! Thank you for supporting our school and the American Heart Association! Together, we are saving lives!

This year’s American Heart Association event is particularly significant. We are so proud of St. John alumna, Amilia Gentzkow, Class of 2023. Mili is being honored as this year’s Teen of Impact by the American Heart Association. She participated in a nine-week campaign that worked to raise funds and awareness about heart disease. As a heart defect survivor, Mili was inspired by her desire to improve outcomes for other people born with a heart condition. More information about Mili’s impactful contributions can be found here. Congratulations, Mili!
