A Message from the Greenwood Library

Hello from the Greenwood Library! We are excited to welcome back St John students and families this fall. Many of your students will be coming to the library with their classes or have us visit them at school. Here are some suggestions to help your family get the most out of the library.

  • Anyone in your family need a new or replacement library card? Stop in anytime; it takes just a few minutes.
  • We are here to help! Urge your children to ask the librarians for help with research, resources or finding a good book.
  • Food is now allowed (yay!), but please discuss cleaning up after oneself and keeping noise to a reasonable level.
  • Please come into the library to pick up your children and see how they are doing unattended and say “Hi!” to staff.
  • There is a teen-only area after school M-Th. This may feel safer/more comfortable for some teens.
  • We are a public space, like a bus/light rail, so do discuss what to do if they feel uncomfortable.
    • Talk to staff immediately.
    • Call you to come pick them up, and ask to use our courtesy phone if needed.
    • When you come in to get your child, talk with staff about any concerns.
