Parent Association

Come celebrate with us at our last PA meeting of the year this Friday, May 16, at 8:30am in Egan Hall. We want to thank you for your support of the PA and all your efforts to enhance our amazing St. John community. Let’s celebrate our successes and say goodbye to one of our amazing PA Co-Chairs, Rachael Groark, with coffee and sweet treats. We will receive an update on the School’s Out, Grills Out BBQ as well as other end-of-year activities. We will also talk about open Parent Association roles for the 2025-2026 school year. If you would like to take a more active role in PA, please consider one of the following roles:

  • Web and Graphics Support: Maintain the Parent Association website and create graphics for PA-led events and web content.
  • ParentMap Parent Education Liaison: Coordinate parent education events with ParentMap as main point of contact and consolidate event resources.
  • Volunteer Lead: Point person for volunteer opportunities (not responsible for filling all volunteer needs), create PA event SignUpGenius forms, and implement the current volunteer handbook as needed.
  • PA Grade-Level Roles including Room Parents, PA Reps, Hospitality Chairs, and Auction Liaisons. (Note: Sign-ups will be available for these roles once class assignments are published in August.)

If you are interested in learning more about one of these roles or becoming more involved in PA, please reach out to Parent_Association@st-johnschool.org. It’s a great way to serve the St. John community and get your volunteer hours in.

All parents/guardians/caregivers of students attending St. John School are members of the PA and are welcome to join meetings. Hope to see you tomorrow morning!

Parent Education

In case you missed it, check out the key takeaways, resources, and full video recording from our last Parent Ed event, Let Go and Let Grow: Raising Confident Independent Children with Lenore Skenazy, author of Free-Range Kids.

Be sure to join the next Parent Ed event. Dené Logan, marriage therapist and author of Sovereign Love, will focus on modern marriages and teach us how to shift from burnout and imbalance to interdependence, where both partners feel valued, connected, and deeply engaged in the partnership.
