POSITIONS AVAILABLE IN ST. JOHN’S XDC
St. John is looking for a few more XDC employees to staff our after-school program (2:30-6pm) M-F. We are able to hire ages 16+, and it would be a great job for an older high schooler or college student. Our greatest need is M-F, 4-6pm. Contact Abby Mansfield or Rachelle Overby if you know of anyone who might be interested.
CONFIRMATION REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR PARISH FAMILY 14
Our confirmation program will be hosted at St. John this year; all youth in grades 7 and up are welcome. Participants must be baptized Catholics.
We will start our classes in person, in November 2025, with Confirmation scheduled for February 2026. Classes meet after the 8:30am mass. You can find the registration form here: https://archseattle.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/5366/responses/new
The sacrament of Confirmation is the third of the sacraments of initiation (the others are Baptism and Eucharist). For Catholics, Confirmation is the sacrament that signifies a deepening of one’s baptismal commitment and a strengthening of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Through Confirmation, individuals confirm their faith and become full, active members of the Church. Once confirmed, youth may participate in the liturgy as Extraordinary Ministers of Communion, Lectors, and Sacristans.
EUCHARISTIC MINISTER TRAINING
Become a Eucharistic Minister and serve our parish community in a beautiful and sacred way. As an Eucharistic Minister, you’ll play a vital role in distributing the Body and Blood of Christ to your fellow parishioners. This is a perfect ministry for confirmed Catholics who have a deep love for the Eucharist but prefer not to have a public speaking role. Your commitment is only during Mass, and you won’t need to arrive early or stay late. If you’re ready to serve with fidelity, reverence, and love, please join us for training on Saturday, September 20, at 4:15 PM. For more information, please get in touch with Lauren Exnicios at lexnicios@gmail.com.
