Children invited to participate in the St. John Christmas Eve 4pm mass!
We’re thrilled that we are again able to include our children in this special Mass. We need lectors (5th grade or above – 2 slots); Intercession/Prayer of the Faithful readers (2nd grade or above who are strong readers – 6 slots); gift bearers (able to carry the wine and large ciborium of hosts – 2 slots but more can join in to accompany); ushers to pass out worship aids and bulletins (any age – 6 slots); and children to accompany Baby Jesus to his manger (old enough to carry a fragile statue and able to follow instructions from Father – 2-4 children). There will be a mandatory practice for the readers before school lets out for Christmas break; exact time TBD.
We also need a few parent volunteers willing to help the children get into their places when it is time for their role at mass. Yes, this counts for your St. John school volunteer hours!
