Counselor’s Corner, February 2026

Valentine’s Month = Everyday Kindness – Happy February! As we move through the heart of winter, this month is a wonderful time to focus on kindness, empathy, and caring for one another.

February is often associated with Valentine’s Day, cards, and treats. We can talk with children about how kindness is something we practice every day, not just on one special day. True kindness shows up in small, quiet moments: including someone at recess, using respectful words, apologizing when we make a mistake, or helping a classmate without being asked. Encourage your child to practice small acts of kindness at home as well: helping a sibling, using respectful words, or checking in on a friend. These small moments make a big difference.

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” – Aesop

Thank you for partnering with us as we help our students grow in heart, mind, and faith.
