Welcome back! Summer flew by, and it’s time for the PA to kick off our Fall events. Come connect with other St. John parents, hear about our plans for the 2026–2027 school year, and sign-up for a grade level role. All new and returning parents/guardians are welcome.
All parents/guardians of students attending St. John School are members of the Parent Association and are welcome to join our monthly meetings. The PA is an integral part of campus life, encouraging and ensuring ongoing community-building by providing activities, events, and service to the parish and school community. Want to get more involved at St. John? We would love to have you on our grade-level PA team! Here is a brief description of the grade-level roles. We aim to fill two of each role per grade. Note that Room Parents, Hospitality Chairs, and Classroom Auction Coordinators are class specific.
- Room Parents: Acts as a teacher liaison, handles parent communications, and coordinates any teacher/classroom needs and opportunities for involvement.
- Hospitality Chairs: Oversees gift giving for teachers/assistants and school staff throughout the year, coordinates grade-level voluntary contributions, manages gift giving budgets, and plans teacher/staff luncheon.
- PA Reps: Builds grade-level community with families by organizing parent/class socials, participates in PA-led event committees, attends monthly PA meetings and participates in shared note-taking, volunteers to support as many school/class events as possible, and encourages others to volunteer.
- Classroom Auction Coordinator: Serves as main point of contact for class Auction information, coordinates class Auction package, and facilitates the class Auction art project by leading the project or appointing an Art Lead.
