Wellness Committee: Try Me Friday
The last Try Me Friday was February 25, and students had the opportunity to try parsnips two ways, as a soup and a fry. While the majority of students did not care for the parsnip, it was still a great chance for them to figure that out! The students also learned about parsnip’s nutritional information. The big takeaway this time was that FIBER is a nutrient that most Americans do not eat enough of, children and adults. Vegetables, like parsnips, provide a lot of fiber and are important to consume every day. Read more about fiber, other facts about the parsnip, and get some recipes to try at home here.
Our next Try Me Friday is scheduled for April 28!
