Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

It is pretty green around here today! It makes me very proud to see so many people celebrating Ireland’s patron saint!
We enjoyed grand music this morning as Mr. Flanigan and his friends marched us into school. Check out this brief video on our Facebook page. Thank you for supporting Greenwood!   The children are learning to be active community members as together we pray and participate in the fundraising for the Greenwood businesses.

Look out for the second trimester report cards and STAR reading reports.  You children will bring them home today.  Open them up, celebrate successes and together set some goals for the third trimester.

The teachers are at school tomorrow.  We are spread around at various venues taking workshops on Rethinking Grading and Differentiated learning, Coding,  Early Learning and PE. We hope that you all enjoy your day off!

You should have read about our exciting Fund-A-Need news in the auction newsletter.  This joint school/parish project will focus on renovating the Egan kitchen.  “Crispin’s Kitchen” generated $30K in honor of Fr. Crispin’s jubilee, we have received an anonymous gift of $50K, and we intend to raise the rest at the auction on April 22!  A successful result will allow us to add a hot lunch program in a modern, commercial kitchen this fall.  Get your bid cards ready!

Don’t miss tomorrow night’s soup supper!  Our fifth graders have been making soup all morning and it smells wonderful.  Please join fellow parishioners at 6 pm for a simple meal; stations of the cross to follow in the church at 7 pm.

Slan agus sláinte!
