First Communion

This weekend, many of our students will receive Holy Communion for the first time as they experience the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist. This is a very special time for them and for their families. They have been preparing for many months and they are ready!  On behalf of the faculty, staff and the entire student body at St. John, I congratulate the children and their families. Thank you to Mrs. Hendrickson, Mrs. Oines, Mrs. Rudden-Flanagan and all who have helped the families on this exciting faith formation journey.

On Wednesday, May 4th we will have an all-school Rosary at 9:30am. Students should wear dress uniform and bring a flower for Mary’s altar.  You are all invited to join us.

It was simply lovely to meet so many guests today for our Preschool, Kindergarten and 1st Grade Grandparents and Special Friends Day.  Grandparents visited from as far away as as Barcelona (Spain), Boston and New Jersey!  I am very grateful to the teachers, and to the awesome team of volunteers led by Julie Lee, who helped make this day so enjoyable.

Beannacht,

Bernadette O’Leary
