Principal’s Message – Getting to know and live the SLEs!

Do you know that

  • we are Christ-Centered People
  • we are Active Learners
  • we are Empowered Disciples?

Your children are well aware and are on their way to achieving the Student Learning Expectations! I am amazed at how quickly the students have settled in and are hard at work in their classes. Recess and lunchtime transitions are also going very well! And parents, thank you for being active learners of the drop-off and pick-up routines! I am witnessing empowered discipleship as you respect one another and our neighbors. If you wish to know more about the SLEs ask your child and check on the website.

Tonight, the parents of the Middle School students will attend Curriculum Night to learn about the SLEs, curriculum content, middle school trips and so much more information that is important to the success of the middle school student. The presentation will begin at 6:30 in the church.

We are halfway to our goal of $60,000 for this year’s Jog-a-thon! Keep those pledges and donations coming in! Look for a detailed running schedule and other information in tomorrow’s inbox.

This year, the back-to-school liturgy will take place on Sunday, September 18th at 10:30 so that you, parents and parish families can attend. Fr. Crispin will bless all the backpacks and we will welcome him back from Africa! The Schola and Cantionis Choirs will lead us in the singing, and school and parish children will be participating. We are asking that you also use the opportunity to place a can or package of dried food in the child’s backpack to donate to St. Vincent de Paul. What a fine opportunity for all Christ centered people to pray and participate together in Mass – the centerpiece of our faith tradition! See you there!

Blessings,
