Campaign Kick Off Next Weekend

Jambo Rafikis,

Next weekend is the official kickoff for our Capital Campaign Honor the Past, Embrace the Present, Secure the Future. For the past few months, we have been in the preparation phase of the campaign during which we put together our campaign volunteer team and developed campaign materials.

As you know we are raising money for:

  • Rectory renovation and relocation
  • Quigley House renovation
  • Renovation of the main school first floor

The actual campaign will be three years, which means you will have three years to pay off your pledge; however, securing the pledges for the projects will be quick – starting May 15.

In the coming weeks, you will receive a campaign mailing that will include a personal letter from myself asking you to consider a specific pledge amount and a brochure explaining in detail what we are trying to accomplish.

I am inviting you to think about your charitable giving in a way you may never have previously. I challenge everyone to pray about the amount, and then, make a sacrificial gift.

We need everyone’s help with these projects. We cannot do this without the firm commitment of everyone in the parish and school. We need your time, talent and treasure for this campaign to succeed. All of us will be asked to step out of our comfort zone and make a sacrificial gift. Please join us after weekend Masses to celebrate this kickoff. Remember, we do not do this alone; we do this with each other as a community, and we do this with God. Ask God to bless our Parish and School and bless each other as we take on this large undertaking. If we have faith, and if we have trust, we will succeed.

Baraka ya Yesu,

Rev. Crispin A. Okoth
