Thank you!

As I race across the playground to get a cup of fuel (coffee!) to keep me going, I try to take a few moments to hang out with the students. The long list of duties can wait. These moments when we slow down to enjoy one another’s company, to hear about an achievement, to listen to a story, are precious. The school year is coming to an end and what a year it has been! We have a busy week ahead and I want to stop and take this moment to say a huge thank you to all of you. As I reflect on the year, on our accomplishments and our challenges, I feel very blessed. We have all grown together and together we are a better community.

In line with our mission, we strengthened our faith, reviewed our religion program and purchased a new curriculum which we will start in September. We renewed our commitment to Catholic Social Teachings and service.  In academics, I am reviewing test scores and so far I see strong growth across the board – in math, reading, language arts and writing. We are looking forward to seeing where Mr. Tice, Miss Gudaitis and Ms. Kelley, the three Trustey Family STEM Fellows, will take us as they work with Notre Dame University to strengthen our program. And then there is the renovation! That is such an exciting story.

These are just a few of our success stories this year.  None of the above would be possible without you! You all stepped up to support those programs! We had more volunteers, more donations and such strong results in the Jog-a-thon, the Auction, the Capital Campaign and the Annual Fund!  Thank you!

Be sure to check all the posts, the calendar and the website today! There is so much going on! Tomorrow, we welcome the parents of our eighth graders as they come to see their children’s final music performance.  On Saturday, the Track and Field championship takes place. Good luck, athletes! Then come and celebrate with us here at school this great year, the end of school, the beginning of summer, and the renovation and construction progress on Saturday at the Capital Cookout!.

On Sunday, the Baccalaureate Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am.  Following that there is the CYO baseball championship with our seventh and eighth-grade boys’ team!

Bain sult as!
