Happy Thursday!

This is a short letter to you as we are saving all the best news for tonight!

The school year is well and truly underway. I actually heard students mention the words, “Quiz tomorrow!” Did you know that some of your children may have a quiz tomorrow? At tonight’s Curriculum Night, you will learn about the procedures and expectations for students in grades K-5. We will begin at 7pm in the church.

We are all still getting used to the new office location. Mrs. Q is now in the outer office, right outside my office on the second floor of the main school building except for the mornings between 8:10 and 8:40, when she will be downstairs in the East Hallway, ready to greet you with a smile, answer your questions and dispense tardy slips.

The Blessing of the Backpacks Mass is at 10:30am on Sunday. Fr. Crispin is looking forward to seeing you all again and to blessing the children’s backpacks. Let’s all give him a warm welcome back. Bring a donation for Broadview-Thomson Food Program – see below for more information.

Those of you who attended Mass at St. John last week heard Fr. Douglas speak about Archbishop Sartain’s letter addressing the sexual abuse in our church. Bill Marty wrote about it in his Prayer Nugget published in the parish Bulletin. Read it here.

Be assured that we are deeply committed to ensuring a safe environment for each and every child on our campus. Thank you for your trust in us.

God Bless,
Bernadette
