Several opportunities for students looking for extra activities this summer.
Vacation Bible School – August 19-23, 2019 Students entering Kindergarten through Grade 5 will travel the Queen of Heaven Express with Mrs. Jessup and Mrs. Castillo as their tour guides on the this exciting adventure to discover Mary, the Rosary, and how she brings us closer to Jesus. Experience the wonders of Our Lady of Lourdes, Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of Knock, and Our Lady ofMount Carmel. Students will “travel” to France, Portugal, Mexico, Ireland, and England. Club hours are 9am-12:30pm. Note, XDC is not available during this week. Cooking Club with Chef Michael and Friends – June 24 through 28, 2019 Students currently in Grades 4-8 will have a week of menu planning, meal preparation, learning techniques, measuring and other basics, and daily enjoy the fruits of their labors! Students learn best kitchen practices and healthy nutrition. $250.00 Registration opens Monday, March 25, 7pm.
LEGO® Engineering – June 24 through 28, 2019
- Adventures in STEM Students currently in Kindergarten and Grade 1, 9am-noon – Let your imagination run wild with tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer-designed projects such as trains, helicopters, treehouses, beam bridges, more. Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment. No prerequisites for this course. $160.00 Registration opens Monday, March 25, 7pm
- Bash’em Bots Using LEGO® Materials Students currently in Grades 2-6, 1-4pm – Have you ever wanted to learn how to make a massive motorized LEGO® machine? Our Play-Well Engineering instructors guide students in this advanced Play-Well engineering camp, as they re-engineer standard LEGO® vehicles into mechanized machines that can traverse challenging obstacles, battle against fellow bots, and take on Play-Well instructors’ colossal creations! $160.00 Registration opens Monday, March 25, 7pm.
