The first St. John Art Show & Exhibit will be held Thursday, May 30, at Egan Hall from 6-7pm. All St. John students K-8 will participate in celebrating their masterpieces by holding a Student Art Show. The main activities will include the following things to do:
- Art Show: A total of 468 student masterpieces will be on display for your viewing pleasure!
- Art Activities: Along with the Art Show & Exhibit, there will be a few art activities to take part in! For example, we will set a stage called, “YOU ARE ART.” No matter who you are, you may contribute your inner artistic talent on a huge white sheet of paper: no competition, no judge, only confidence. Just be a kid! If you can’t make it during show time, stop by anytime after school on that day and leave your artistic mark!
- Installation Art: At the playground, we will display beautiful wings on the fence right next to Quigley. All students K-8 in the school will make a feather that will state their hopes, dreams, wishes, and resolutions. Each student creates/decorates their own and then combines it with this wonderfulness. Students can have their parents to talk about their goals and dreams…. a perfect photo standing between the wings!!
Thank you so much for your support for art. Special thanks to Jeri Jarvie for creating the poster to promote our Student Art Show & Exhibit. Mrs. Kyoungmi (Kay) Jang
