Federal Title I / ESSA Survey

“The purpose of this title is to provide all children significant opportunity to receive a fair, equitable, and high-quality education, and to close educational achievement gaps.”   US Dept. of Education

Federal Title I funding, under the Every Student Succeeds Act is based on three things: Household income, district of residence, and home or first language.  Title I funds tutoring specialist services and education in language acquisition techniques for teachers to use with their students. A portion of the funding for these programs comes from your hard-earned tax dollars!

To help us secure as much funding as possible, we ask that you complete the Home Language Survey and the Household Income Survey, and return both to Diane Crockett via email or hard copy, no later than Friday, May 10. Please note that this information will NOT be used to identify students, and all information will remain confidential.

If you have any concerns or questions please do not hesitate to reach out. You may also contact Kaitlyn O’Leary, Assistant Superintendent in the Office for Catholic Schools, at Kaitlyn.oleary@seattlearch.org.
