Students in grades 3-8 have an opportunity to explore the world of soap making and the art and techniques of hand embroidery! Mrs. Adrey Ocampo will lead the following workshops:
- Beginning Soap Making: Tuesday, November 19, 3:10-5:10pm Students in grades 3-5 are invited to join in a Beginning Soap Making class with Mrs. Ocampo in our new Makerspace. Students will create handmade soaps and package them for the holidays using creative molds and colors. Students will learn about the materials and supplies of soap making as well as how to use essential oils to scent the soaps naturally. They will even be able to make their own creative recipes. All supplies and materials are covered in this class. Limited to 10 students. Cost: $50 Registration begins Thursday, November 7, 7pm here.

- Hand Embroidery Basics and Technology: Tuesday, December 10, 3:10-5:10pm Students in grades 6-8 are invited to join in a Hand Embroidery Basics and Technology class with Mrs. Ocampo in our new Makerspace. Students will create a handmade sampler of basic stitches involved in hand embroidery. Students will use technology to individualize instruction of key techniques involved in the sampler. All embroidery supplies and materials are covered in this class. Please have your child bring headphones or earbuds to class. Limited to 10 students.
